It's no secret it rains in Oregon. It's what makes this state so green and beautiful. As an outdoor photographer in Oregon, this can be good and bad. It's good because rain can create a wonderful texture and feel to outdoor photos. Plus...rain boots! Everyone looks cute in a neat pair of rain boots. The bad thing is that not all clients want to go on a rainy adventure to have photos done. I don't blame them. Who wants to get dressed nice just to have the rain mess it all up? However...sometimes clients are all for the chance of rain! This family was amazing and not only drove from Eugene to Woodburn for tulip photos, they also braved rain and chilly temps. Woohoo! I was thrilled with their images. After their photos, I stayed with my husband & kids to take more photos. The photo of our daughter playing in the mud is my favorite. Talk about enjoying the moment! Haha! I sent it to Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival and at last check, it had almost 1,000 likes and countless comments on their Facebook page. Too funny! I plan to go back to the tulips ASAP. Our weather has been so sunny and amazing...I worry that if I don't act fast, the beautiful tulips may not be there. If you'd like your family photos in the tulips, contact me anytime and let's set up a time to stop and smell (and photograph) the flowers. If you're lucky...you may see a rainbow too. -Lynn Marie
