Most Oregon weddings happen in the spring, summer or fall. I have yet to photograph a winter wedding...although it's on my bucket list! So, what's the next best thing? Jump in the car with an adventurous real life husband and wife and head for the snow!
Drew & Torie are some of my favorite people. Full disclosure...they're also my cousins. Well, Drew is my husband's cousin & Torie is married to Drew so...heck, we're all cousins. Drew and Torie had and amaaaaazing wedding at the airport 2 years ago and I had the pleasure of being a guest and taking in the day, rather than photographing it. Ahhhhh...so nice to relax (see: drink!) and enjoy an entire wedding. Drew is pilot and Torie is a flight attendant so their wedding at the airport was absolutely perfect! So, a few months later, when Torie mentioned that she just happened to have her wedding dress hanging in the closet, we had an idea! Let's do a photo shoot!
I love these winter wonderland photos. There's something about the clean palette of a snow covered landscape that just makes me so happy. Torie was wonderful during this very cold shoot too. She was out there without a coat, wading across freezing creeks and climbing on slippery logs. What?! Amazing!
We've had a ton of snow here this winter. If you want to go on an adventure for snowy photos, send me a note anytime.
