I love a big, fun wedding with tons of guests, dancing and cake! Mmmm...cake! However, there's something so special and intimate about an elopement. An elopement is simply about the couple and their love for each other. No frills. No stress. No cake. To be asked to document such an intimate affair is always such an honor for me.
This gorgeous elopement in early October here in Eugene came together is less than 48 hours. Wow! My husband, Zach, was asked to officiate the ceremony & then I was asked to be the photographer. So, on a gorgeous Friday afternoon, Zach and I jumped in the car and headed off to Hendricks Park. I had never met Collina or Clarance before these photos & had only talked to Collina on the phone about their elopement. When they got out of their car and walked up to me, giving me a welcoming hug, I felt like I'd known them for years. I immediately liked both of them and was so excited to document their day. We took a few photos before the ceremony, to capture the gorgeous sunlight as it filtered through the trees. Then, Zach led them through their vows while two witnesses & friends live streamed the event to friends and family via Facebook. After their first kiss as husband and wife, I took a few more photos of the bride & groom as they embraced and looked out over Eugene as the sun set in the west. It all went by so fast! I was actually sad when the sun set and we started to say goodbye. However, then Collina asked if we'd like to go out for drinks, their treat. Hmmmm...yes! I knew I liked this couple. Congratulations, Collina & Clarence! Lynn Marie

Oh I love this shoot so much! That's so amazing that you were able to be here for the couple, even on such short notice. You can really see the joy in both of their eyes. And that your hubs got to officiate - well that just brings the whole thing full circle! Seriously gorgeous.

Oh the beautiful warm tones!! I loved this session. My favorite was probably them looking out over the view after they had their first kiss. So sweet.

They look so happy in all the photos. You can tell they are happy with choosing to do the elopement. What an honor for your husband to be able to marry them while you take photos. The light was beautiful in all the photos.

My husband and I did the big church wedding, but how I often wished we’d have planned an elopement instead! It must truly be magical to be able to focus on each other instead of all the added stresses of planning a big wedding! Congratulations to the newlyweds!

This is my idea of a perfect wedding. Just two people so in love, that nothing else matters. You can feel the love in these images.
