Backyard Summer Wedding in Eugene, Oregon

Have you ever been around a family and just felt the love?  I mean, really felt it?  That was this wedding day & this wonderful family.  I can't help but smile when I think about this gorgeous backyard wedding here in Eugene, Oregon. Months later, I still smile, and even get a tear in my eye, as I look at these wedding photos.  I absolutely loved the attention to detail and personal touches at this wedding; the bouquets the bride made herself, the beautiful decor, the dance floor built by the bride's father & the bride's grandfather's Navy ring, which she wore around her wrist so her grandfather could be there in spirit on what would have been his 93rd birthday.   (I think I need my Kleenex after typing that...hang on...)

I've known Tara since she was a little girl.  When she first contacted me about wedding photography, my first thought was, "Wait?!  Aren't you...like...10?"  Haha!  Nope.  Tara was all grown up and an absolutely gorgeous, intelligent and super funny young woman!  Just as I remembered her.  She's always been so joyful and fun and absolutely nothing had changed.  Her soon-to-be-husband, Kraig, was super calm and sweet and I adored the two of them together during their engagement shoot.  Did I mention that they also have the cutest dog?  He made an appearance at the engagement shoot and wedding too.  Be sure to scroll to the end to see his photo.  So fun! 

I adored this wedding so much.  It took place at Tara's parent's backyard here in Eugene, at their gorgeous property.  Everyone was so calm & relaxed and happy.  That's the one word I would use to describe this wedding; happy.  From the ceremony, to the reception filled with heartfelt speeches, to the first dances under the twinkle lights. it was all just very happy & full of joy.  A perfect evening. 

I wish you a lifetime of happiness, Tara & Kraig.  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day.  It was perfect!
