Oregon Engagement Photos at Dexter Lake

I'm pretty good at knowing right away if a wedding couple and I will be a good fit for each other. If they agree to meet for coffee and can laugh at life and not be too serious, we're usually a good fit. I knew right away when I met Carly for coffee here in Eugene at Coffee Plant Roaster that I liked her a lot. She had been recommended to me by awesome friends, so I was pretty sure this would be a good fit. Once she told me the name of her dog (which I can't repeat here for my PG audience...just Google Jamie Foxx in Horrible Bosses) & that her dog was going to be in their Oregon coast wedding, I knew I wanted to be their photographer. A cool couple? A cool dog? A wedding at the Oregon coast? Sold! We had a wedding photography match! Yay!

Carly & Miles wanted to head out to their favorite disc golf location at Dexter Lake. Both are way into the sport and Miles proposed to Carly while playing. How sweet! I was a bit worried because this being February in Oregon, it was cold! Very cold! I had a warm jacket on & was freezing! Carly had two adorable dresses and no coat but she was so awesome! I don't think you can tell in any of these photos that it was about 40 degrees with a bit of Oregon rain.

This shoot was so fun! I think in about every one of these engagement photos, one or both of them are laughing. Love it! It was hard to narrow down these fun photos for their gallery & even harder to narrow those down for this blog. Phew!
