Start with comfort
Wear something you love and feel comfortable in. If an outfit feels awkward, it will show in your photographs. Bring a few changes of clothes if you would like options; I’m happy to help you put things together at the session.

Pricing depends on the kind of story we’re making. You can find current details for weddings and elopements, portrait sessions, and events on the pricing page.
Photography is my full-time work, and I care about the whole experience as much as the photographs. I bring professional cameras and lenses, backup equipment, multiple image backups, and the business experience to look after every part of your session.
I accept credit and debit cards, personal checks, and cash.
Of course. LGBTQ+ couples and families are warmly welcome in front of my camera.
Yes. I regularly spend time around Sunriver, Bend, and La Pine, and I’m happy to photograph you there, on the Oregon Coast, or somewhere else meaningful to you. If I’m already in Central Oregon, I don’t charge a travel fee. For longer-distance weddings, I ask for an overnight stay at or near the venue.
02 / YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS
I take several frames while finding the right light, expression, and focus. I select and edit the images that meet my standards, leaving out blinks, test frames, and other photos that don’t belong in your final story. I don’t deliver unedited images.
I’ll email you a private link to your Pixieset gallery. You can view your images at home on a computer, tablet, or phone.
Portrait galleries usually take about 2–4 weeks; wedding galleries usually take about 8–12 weeks, often less. April through November is my busiest season. I review and edit the photographs from my cameras and my second shooter’s cameras by hand, so the timing depends on the size of your story.
I love the final 60–90 minutes of daylight, when the light is soft and golden. Morning sessions are possible when they work better for you.
03 / THE SESSION
Choose clothes you feel comfortable and confident in. Jewel tones photograph beautifully, and layers or a colorful accessory add texture. For families, coordinating colors tends to work better than everyone matching. I have more ideas in my what-to-wear guide.
Read the clothing guide ↗That’s completely normal. I give little ones space to move, play, and explore, and older kids can bring their own ideas. There’s no pressure to perform for the camera; some of the best expressions come once everyone has had time to relax.
I use a professional print house so your photographs have the color and finish I intended, and the prints are made to last. If you prefer to print your own, I can recommend reliable options and provide a print release.
I don’t have a studio. Most sessions happen outdoors or on location. I also love photographing families and newborns at home, where a clear space and good window light work beautifully. For boudoir sessions, I have access to a bed and breakfast in Eugene.
04 / BEHIND THE LENS
My cameras record duplicate images to separate memory cards. If an emergency kept me from finishing your gallery, my plan is for someone close to me to pass the cards to a trusted second photographer for editing. If the images could not be recovered, I would refund products you never received.
I photograph with Nikon cameras and professional Nikon lenses, along with a Sigma Art 35mm lens. I edit on an iMac using Lightroom and Photoshop, and carry my cameras with a Holdfast Moneymaker strap.
I’m self-taught as a photographer and have been making images since childhood. I earned a journalism and communication degree from the University of Oregon, with a concentration in advertising and marketing and a minor in business administration. I also spent eight years working with photographs as a graphic designer at an international advertising agency. I’m always learning something new.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION
A little guidance on what to wear, from Lynn.
Wear something you love and feel comfortable in. If an outfit feels awkward, it will show in your photographs. Bring a few changes of clothes if you would like options; I’m happy to help you put things together at the session.
Jewel tones photograph beautifully: purples, blues, greens, oranges, and reds add life to a photograph. Pink and orange work well together, too. Choose colors that make you feel like yourself.
Bold earrings, a necklace, a belt, a scarf, or a hat add interest and texture. For fall, try a colorful scarf; for winter, bring hats, gloves, and layers. Jeans and a favorite sweater are always welcome.
Family outfits can complement each other without matching. Think related colors and different textures—for example, purples and browns alongside denim and blue tops. Leave room for everyone’s personality.
