I have a secret. I used to get very nervous at the thought of photographing a wedding. Crazy, right? I'm not sure where this fear came from. I like weddings. I like photography. What's with this fear? I think it's just that a wedding is a big deal and there's no way to redo that first kiss, first bite of cake, etc. The pressure! Eeeeek! Over the summer of 2014, I second shot several weddings with my friend, and fellow photographer, Jamie Hill. She just threw me into the deep end and said, "Take lots of photos! Have fun!" So, I did. By the time we got to this wedding, at Emerald Valley Golf & Resort in Creswell Oregon, I was ready and in my creative zone. I loved it! The bride, was beautiful and so nice. She let me take photos of everything and anything while getting ready. The groom was welcoming and let me hang out and take a million photos of him and the guys. They were all so fun! I felt like I'd known them forever, even though I'd just met them that day. My husband performed the ceremony, so having him there put me as ease. I loved everything about this wedding. The bride, groom, bridal party, decor, food, music, speeches (yes, I did cry a little at one point when the sister of the bride spoke...it was very emotional and full of love) and the crazy golf cart ride to take sunset photos on the golf course. So fun! I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this special day and I hope you all enjoy this small sample of photos from this wedding. I wish I could share them all but I don't think I'd ever get to another photo blog. Haha! Enjoy this slideshow of a beautiful September wedding at the golf course. -Lynn Marie
