One of the many things I love about being a photographer is being invited to document such personal events. It's an honor to be witness to engagements, weddings and births of new babies. It's even more special when a couple whose wedding you photographed asks you to photograph the birth of their first baby. Hooray!
Baby Ronan came into the world right around 8am at McKenzie Willamette Hospital in Springfield, Oregon. I will admit I am not a morning person & the 5:30am check in time was way too early for my night owl self. However, that's what coffee is for, right? Once I had my 20oz coffee, put on my scrubs and grabbed my camera, I was so excited and ready to go! Sleep? Who needs sleep? Not me. There was a baby being born! I have a secret...I have never witnessed a c-section in real life. This was a first. I was amazed as I watched baby Ronan being delivered by the doctor. Wow! In fact, when I turned to the dad several minutes later and asked what he thought about seeing his first child being born, he simply said, "Wow!" Wow indeed. I will let these photos speak for themselves. Enjoy! -Lynn Marie
