"Our lives are one masked ball.”
-Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera I saw The Phantom of the Opera in London with my family when I was in high school. I had been involved in musical theater and was slightly obsessed with this show & its music. I had no idea I'd have the opportunity to see it live, in London no less, while on vacation. I remember sitting in the front row of the mezzanine level as the lights went down & that famous overture started. Wow! Goosebumps! My brother later told me that I did not move during the entire show. I was simply in awe of everything; the music, the singing, the sets, the costumes, the theater itself. It was simply overwhelming and magical. This styled wedding photo shoot is, quite possibly, one of my favorite sessions to date. It too was magical as it came together & became something beyond what I had ever imagined. From the dramatic bridal gown, to our gorgeous model & to the amazing backdrop of one of Oregon's most beautiful wineries, this shoot reminded me a lot of The Phantom of the Opera. These images made me gasp as I took them. The details! That light! A rainbow!? Wow! I could see the final look come together right before my eyes and camera lens. I had goosebumps again, just like all those years ago in London. A huge thank you to all the vendors who helped pull this vision off. It would have been impossible without everyone involved. Many thanks to my friends, and fellow wedding photographers, Hazel Eye Photography by Aly & Heather Mills Photography. It was a total joy planning this shoot and working with you too. -Lynn Marie P.S. You can see Part 1 by clicking here. I appreciate your point of view, and your friendship, too! There was something incredible about this session--it's as if the skies knew what "look" it needed to offer this bridal editorial! Very powerful!
